This is a great way for you to spend quality time with your infant while getting a great workout. It is fun for both of you as your baby is lifted up and down to great music and successively kissed and cuddled. As your baby gains weight, you get stronger. This is a safe and effective workout for all fitness levels combining a warm-up, core and strength training, short cardio intervals, and a cool-down stretching period.

Important: Your baby must be able to securely hold head upright.

Appropriate age range for babies is approximately 4 months until walking.

For general health, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends participating in a resistance training program that targets all major muscle groups for a minimum of twice a week. In this class your baby’s weight or your own bodyweight will serve as your resistance, targeting all major muscle groups.

This class anticipates short breaks in your workout to enable you to nurse or change a diaper. There is always time left at the end to make-up any exercises you missed. If your child is sleeping, you can grab some dumbbells to temporarily replace your sleeping beauty.
