Dina

Dina Abbondante- Yoga Instructor

Dina Abbondante (ERYT-200) is a certified yoga teacher and registered through the Yoga Alliance with 2000 hours of teaching experience. Dina was brought to yoga while studying movement therapy in college and immediately connected with the physical and subtle benefits. Eventually, she felt drawn to study the art of teaching and began offering yoga and meditation classes in 2003 for mixed level students, prenatal students and restorative practices. She also blends individual sessions for therapeutic yoga support and specialized groups and is a certified Mat Pilates instructor.

Dina’s passion for vinyasa krama (weaving breath & movement) and energetic anatomy (deep body awareness) brings forth a dynamic practice that is easily layered for the newer student and fruitful for the seasoned practitioner. To nourish her practice, she regularly engages in professional trainings with local and national teachers. Studying with Patricia Walden; Elise Browning Miller; Megha Nancy Buttenheim, Sudhir Jonathon Foust; and Paul Grilley, amongst others, Dina continues to find inspiration through learning the art of yoga. She merges these unique systems with the methodologies of Astanga-Vinyasa, Iyengar and Anusara to offer an authentic exchange in each of her classes.

anita4Anita Luck-Pilates Mat Class

Anita’s first career was as a ballet dancer. She danced professionally in the USA and Europe. Because she wanted other people to experience the joy of movement and fitness, she got involved in the fitness industry when she stopped dancing. Her second career as a fitness trainer and aerobic instructor began in Switzerland in 1989.

While still living in Switzerland, Anita became a BeBo certified Pelvic Floor Instructor. Although many people are unaware of their pelvic floor, it is an integral part of core strength, pelvic stability and staying dry.

Anita became an ACE certified Personal Trainer in 2002, and Pilates Mat certified in 2006 and has gained extensive experience teaching Mat Pilates to groups large and small and one on one. She is now certified on all the Pilates apparatus and enjoys pulling all her experience and knowledge together in Pilates sessions. What she loves about Pilates is that every body can feel the benefits.
